A property management company was grappling with persistent tenant complaints regarding inadequate hot water temperatures.
This was a particular issue in the communal toilet facilities. The large commercial office block, based in East Anglia, was a hub of daily activity and required a reliable and consistent hot water supply to maintain both tenant satisfaction and operational efficiency. The site manager, recently taking over the property, sought to have the problem resolved before our water treatment contract commenced. How we helped
We deployed our experienced plumbing team to conduct a thorough investigation, which identified malfunctioning thermostatic mixer valves (TMVs) as the root cause. These TMVs were improperly mixing hot and cold water, especially during peak demand, leading to significant temperature fluctuations. We were tasked with servicing all existing TMVs and replacing those beyond repair.
By servicing and replacing the malfunctioning Thermostatic Mixer Valves (TMVs), we were able to achieve consistent, compliant water temperatures throughout the office block. This eliminated the previous fluctuations, ensuring a stable and safe hot water supply. Key benefits included:
